Job Description:
We are seeking a detail oriented Business Intelligence Analyst to gather, analyse, and interpret data to help drive informed business decisions. The role will involve working with various data sources, including company data, market reports, and industry trends, to provide actionable insights and recommendations. You will assess market strategies, monitor current and potential customers, and identify opportunities for future product development and improvements in existing offerings.
The Business Intelligence Analyst will work closely with key stakeholders to summarise economic and financial data, track technology trends, and provide clear, concise reports to aid in decision-making.
What you’ll be doing:
- Data Gathering: Collect business intelligence from a variety of sources, including company data, industry reports, public information, and purchased sources.
- Market Analysis: Assess market strategies by analysing related products, markets, and trends to identify opportunities for growth.
- Customer Insights: Use business intelligence tools to identify and monitor current and potential customers, helping to shape sales and marketing strategies.
- Future Market Identification: Analyse technology trends and market conditions to identify future product development opportunities and methods to enhance sales of existing products.
- Business Trends: Compile and interpret business intelligence data and trends to support actionable recommendations for business improvements.
- Industry Knowledge: Maintain an up-to-date understanding of industry trends and business developments through communication with professional organisations, suppliers, customers, and competitors.
- Report Summarisation: Prepare and present financial and economic data reports for review by executives, managers, clients, and stakeholders.
- Additional Responsibilities: Perform other related duties as assigned, ensuring continuous improvement in business intelligence processes.
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or Computer and Information Science required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate insights and recommendations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software and tools.
- Strong ability to collect, compile, and analyse relevant data.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organisational skills.
- Capable of systematic thinking and breaking down complex information.
- Strong business analysis skills with a solid understanding of market trends and business processes.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Familiarity with databases and technology-driven business intelligence tools to leverage data for informed decision-making.
