Background
The Company is an iGaming start-up with a Mission – To transform the sports betting market by creating a game-changing experience for players, and Vision – To be the leading provider of sports betting games in the world. We are taking in-game/live betting to the next level and we are recruiting for a Game Operations Manager to join our fast-growing company. The successful candidate will work closely with the Product, Commercial, and Marketing teams, to scale; optimise daily trading operations; and work on ad hoc product and commercial projects as required.

The successful candidate will be a natural collaborator and have a strong track record of influencing stakeholders. This job is ideally suited to someone with industry experience and a corresponding in-depth understanding of sports and sports betting, although we will consider outstanding applicants from a complementary industry. Integrity, low ego, and collaboration are key values in the trading team. The role requires work outside of normal business hours including weekends. You play a key part in the company, providing our clients and the end-user an appetizing flavour of events and games to play on a 365/24/7 basis. You will be part of the Games Operation team and focus on providing the best mix of games and sports content. The role will report to the Head of Operations and CEO and be broad in its focus, with touchpoints in the product, player activity, promotions, content, data analysis, and business updates.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for booking the sports schedule on a daily basis for operators. Over time this will develop so that we can offer a more tailored schedule according to each operator and their players
- Manage the game lobby and optimise the schedule(s) to improve both player experience and our overall stakes and gross margin
- Work closely with the developers and product owners to build the game operation management tool
- Support our QA with testing any new games/sports/markets, particularly from an odds and sports perspective
- Observe live sessions on production to sense check odds and confirm that markets are behaving as expected
- Run daily queries and reports for stakeholders and the wider business
- Update the wider business on the performance of sports by composing and distributing game reports with a high degree of insight, analysis, and clear action plan to deliver change
- Build and maintain company performance dashboards
- Review and identify sports trends (on player and group level) and work with product team to optimise sports revenues
- Assist sales with operator performance to help gather feedback from operators and improve the product and performance
- Identify key sporting events and assist with devising, executing, and optimising sports/marketing campaigns for the company and its clients
- Create and maintain guideline documents such as a sporting calendar to help inform the product team and wider company roadmap
- Act as an internal escalation point to all other departments and stakeholders with sport specific queries
- Work closely with Product Owners to effectively run the daily operations and devise ideas for future games/sports/markets
- Monitor the back office for any potential anomalies
Requirements
- Relevant sportsbook operational and product experience
- Proven knowledge and experience in sports (US sports particularly nice to have, NFL/MMA)
- Knowledge of customer service functions, player acquisition and retention
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to come up with ideas, concepts, and suggestions for improvements and follow these through to implementation

- Eye for detail and true passion for gaming

- Confident in extracting information and collation of data from a variety of diverse sources
- Understanding of game mechanics
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, experience from making SQL queries a plus
- Thrives in a fast-moving environment
- Professional working proficiency in English
- Excellent problem solving and time management skills
- Ability to foster relationships with peers and stakeholders in all areas of the business and senior management
